a multimedia tool. You can use the Tehran Atlas to get any information from the city and also add your own data to
any location on the map.
It's an interesting tool with the facilities of a powerful database and the attractions of an informative multimedia.

Tehran Atlas gives you a wide variety of maps and facilities. It has a main map of the city with 1:12000
scale and more than twelve thousands of recorded data. It has also the maps of the various districts of
the city, municipality, postal districts, telecommunication and also underground of Tehran. The prerecorded
data are available on these maps.
The main specifications of this multimedia Atlas are as follows:
1. Intelligent map of Tehran with zoom in/zoom out options up to a scale of 1/50,000
2. Latest facts and figures of Tehran, plus a detailed tourist guide

Tehran's Map
Tehran Atlas has a map section with several uses.
1. Map's information panel: Every button on the panel represents a range of information such as hotels,
embassies, etc. Click on every button to show desired locations. Button 16 opens and closes the panel.
The mouse pointer can move its position on the screen
2. Movement on the map: Click to change the displayed section
3. Exit: Click to quit the "Tehran Atlas"
4. Configuration of program: Click to configure program's parameters such as the display mode of icons,
printer settings, and to change the shape of icons ...
5. About Tehran Atlas
6. Previous step: Click to return to the point's information form
7. Access to the following menu:
Search: Click to find address of any geographical location and tailor personal lists
Address search: Click to find streets and passageways
Personal list: Click to open pre-determined personal lists or change their information
Go to: Click to have access to a geographically defined point (latitude, longitude or UTM)
or retrieve information through GPS
8. Geographical status panel (latitude, longitude or UTM)
9. Map's degree of zoom: Zoom in and zoom out between one and 120 percent
10. Resize the map: Direct the pointer on the desired zoom
11. Exit from the map screen
12. Help: Open help menu
13. Define a point: Click to open two buttons for defining a region into oblong or polygon.
Click on either to activate the desired shape
14. Define a path: Click on the button to define a specific path on the map, through clicking
once on the medial spots and double-clicking on the closing point
15. Print any part of the map: Click on the button. Then drag an oblong on the desired section,
to get the print
16. Click to open or close the map information panel
17. Click to open or close the Navigator
18. Navigation/Movement on the map: The button has two applications:
Mode provides access to information of any pre-defined spot
Mode grasps and moves the map
20, 21. Map's Navigator: The navigator readily displays location of the zoomed out section on the main map.
Drag and move the navigator (21) or click on every part of the minimized main map to retrieve details.

is to show different kinds of view from Tehran accompanied with music.
1. Natural: by clicking this button, you will see the natural view of Tehran area.
2. Historical: by clicking this button, you will see the historical heritage of the Iranian capital.
3. Tourist Attraction: by clicking this button, you will see the tourist attractions of Tehran.
4. Cultural: by clicking this button, you will see the cultural and religious habits of Tehran's inhabitants.
5. Social: by clicking this button, you will see social view of the Iranian capital.
6. General: by clicking this button, you will see general views of Tehran.
7. Controls: these buttons are intended to control the presentation of this gallery, obviously you can use them to go to the first/last picture, to mute the presentation, etc.
