This multimedia CD-ROM is your gateway to explore Islamic Arts, in particular Islamic Architecture.
It is a comprehensive survey of Islamic Architecture with an overall approach to the major Islamic
building types; i.e. Mosque, Minaret, Madrasa, Mausoleum, Caravanserai and Palace, accompanied by
glossary information on more than 350 Islamic monuments from Spain and North Africa to the Indian subcontinent.
These information is generally based on the Robert Hillenbrand's book entitled Islamic Architecture
(Form, function and meaning) 1994, Edinburgh University.
There is also an introduction to Islamic Art accompanied by a brief definition of each Islamic Art such as
calligraphy, pottery, architectural decoration, etc.

The atlas part of the CD-ROM contains a map of the Islamic World with the zoom in / out facility and a locator to
find and locate each country.
It is also possible to review the map of more than fifty Islamic countries and get its useful information
including travel information and touristic locations.
